On a country road well tucked away in Napa Valley, a corrugated-steel water tower signals the entrance to Durham Ranch. A cloud of dust veils a 1976 turquoise Cadillac Eldorado as it backs into the property’s front gate. The driver has the rugged glamour of a young Hollywood cowboy. This leading man is San Francisco interior designer Ken Fulk, on the set of what he considers “more Green Acres than Falcon Crest.” The scene: early morning, New Year’s Eve.
