Peep This

Ken Fulk is as much a provocateur as he is an inspired designer, and his latest reveal was just as gasp-inducing as his interiors. Peep Show is Fulk’s new furniture, fashion, art and accessories gallery, located on the ground floor of his urban estate—part residence, part office and all creative laboratory— in San Francisco’s SoMa district. To celebrate its opening, Fulk and his team (headed by former CH+D editor Sarah Lynch, who is now Fulk’s director of marketing and events) staged a psychedelic carnival that took over the corner of Seventh and Folsom streets on the evening of September 22. It was a perfect coming-out party for the retail space, which features Fulk’s vintage furniture finds as well as custom fashion accessories, including bow ties fashioned out of Hermès scarves, cufflinks created from old peep show tokens and an exclusive Ralph Rucci menswear line (think crisp high-collar shirts with double-barrel cuffs). Here we take a peek behind the curtain, giving you a glimpse of how the ultimate fetish-tinged, fashion-show-meetsfreak-show fete came together. Step right up!
