Inside the Wild and Whimsical World of Ken Fulk

The San Francisco–based designer’s new book is filled with inspiring photos from his illustrious two-decade-long career

Leave it to interior designer, event planner, and all-around fun seeker Ken Fulk to publish a coffee-table book to rival all others. In Mr. Ken Fulk’s Magical World (Abrams, $75), the San Francisco–based design guru presents 240 inspiring images from parties and homes conceived during his nearly two-decade-long career in design, from a woodland wedding for Napster cofounder Sean Parker to the homes of Silicon Valley insiders throughout the Bay Area. Photographed by celebrity darling Douglas Friedman, the book also offers decorating aesthetes a glimpse behind the curtain of the designer’s 16,000-square-foot headquarters, which he affectionately calls—what else?—the Magic Factory, as well as his three homes, one of which was recently featured in the November issue of Architectural Digest. Intrigued? Here are five covetable interiors that perfectly capture Fulk’s signature refined yet whimsical style.
