Sky High

Perched atop the slopes at a private resort in Big Sky, Montana, this is the winter holiday setting for a growing and fun-loving family. The location for two full weeks of annual festivities, the house needed to suit traditions, celebrations and cozy apres ski afternoons. KFI led the design of this custom- built home from the ground up, specifying interior finishes that would feel touched by time despite its newness. Reclaimed snow fencing, hand-troweled plaster, stone and forged iron set the stage for a diverse mix of modern furnishings and antiques for a home that feels rustic but also restrained.
