Daphne Confar received a BFA from Laguna Beach College of Art and Design and an MFA in Painting from Boston University, Boston MA. Her artistic process involves building upon a tonal underpainting, adding layers of color, at times sanding between each layer. Family relationships, especially with her grandmothers who spent time with Daphne telling the stories of their lives, have fed her imagination and given her a love of people, stories, and those memories that informs her work to this day.
