Love Barn
Ken Fulk was asked by established clients to design their Sonoma property as a weekend getaway. Rather than a typical farmhouse or Tuscan retreat, they envisioned a “Love Barn” for hosting barbecues, enjoying time by the pool, and appreciating great art. The main house was designed around a barn structure, but with custom furnishings and textured art showcased by natural light. The guest house, dubbed the “Shed,” features playful Americana touches, such as a retro fridge, plaid cabinet, and a milking machine light fixture. As a tribute to Sonoma's resilience after the 2017 fires, a LOVE sculpture symbolizes the clients’ vision of “Good Vibes.”
